Cross-Ecosystem Boundary Risk
The idea that agent/AI risk is not primarily a function of raw capability but of whether an agent crosses from one vendor/platform trust ecosystem into another — risk concentrates sharply at that crossing point rather than being evenly distributed across an agent's operation.
Also known as: ecosystem boundary crossing, trust island, trust islands, boundary-crossing risk, crossing ecosystem boundaries

She treats 'ecosystem' as a trust island, not a network or organizational boundary. |

Agentic AI's risk is not evenly distributed or novel in kind -- it concentrates sharply at the moments an agent crosses from one software/trust ecosystem into another, it is already an extension of existing (not new) security threats, and its most under-appreciated cost is not a security breach but the silent erosion of human cognitive skill and retention as people and society outsource understanding, not just labor, to models they do not fully govern.
